Our crew put the Scientific Method in action today going through a series of experiments to answer the question: "What happens if you each a bunch of mentos and drink coke?" We found that if you drink coke as you eat mentos, the acid in your stomach will react with the candy and it will release a bunch of gas! 😜 We found that the biggest reaction was with Coke Zero and mentos and that Sprite still reacted, but not as much. We THINK Coke Zero had the biggest reaction because of the chemicals in it- but further investigation would have to take place in order for us to be sure. This is all because of "nucleation"- All of that fizz – is squeezed into the liquid and looking for a way out.
Everyone did their own, but we also did a BIG Coke Zero to see what the big reaction would be like. Check it!
